That's why there are nowadays mostly good actors around and not great singers. Everybody cares about characters, not singing. If you can't hear Amina's personality which Bellini has injected in the music and Devia sings perfectly, you don't understand opera. You may sing it, but you don't get it. (Just for the record I am a singer as well)

Yeah, its heart breaking all right. Heartbreaking to see how far she has fallen vocally. Sorry, I don;t find listening or watching her enchanting at all anymore. I'll take the singing statue Devia any day of the week.Too many great 'actors' in opera these days, and not enough great 'singers.'

Beh.. "Ah non credea mirarti" è quasi perfetto. forse qualke accento al posto sbagliato, e forse difficoltà nella messa di voce ma forse su questo mi sbaglio perché l'audio non è il massimo. Esecuzione perciò mooolto buona!

Per quanto riguarda"ah non giunge"un po' meno bene:alcune pause non vengono rispettate e i suoni sembrano legati.Forse qualche nota manca nelle volate, ma non è niente..confronto a tante altre cantanti.
Penso a questo punto di aver meditato a sufficienza..o non ancora??La Devia è una cantante molto brava dal punto di vista esecutivo,purtroppo però non vado matto per il timbro vocale.A parte questo per me è comunque una grande cantante:sicuramente una che studia,e tanto,sugli spartiti

Penso che alla tua eta` criticare una Devia sia un po' prematuro, Martinazzoli. L'arroganza non e` mai buona consigliera. Il fatto che non sia costretta a fare certe pause indica un controllo del fiato eccezionale. Ci hai pensato? Devia abituarti alla "pulizia" vocale nelle volate. Cosa difficile da ottenere, ma stiamo parlando della Devia, non di una cantante qualsiasi. Perche` non prendi l'opportunita` di imparare da un'artista che ha cantato Belcanto per oltre 35 anni?

Inoltre, voglio ricordare a tutti che è molto più difficile cantare gli staccati piuttosto che fare portamenti decenti. Ecco dove sta la difficoltà. Sutherland e Callas, a mio parere han sempre avuto "difficoltà" con le note staccate. La Gruberova e la Devia invece no!
