Poem - Shikwah by Allama Iqbal - 1 (+Subtitle)
Pershkrimi videos:Shikwah (The Complaint) by Allama Iqbal علامہ اقبال[Part 1].
This famous Urdu poem is written in 1911 at Lahore. Here Iqbal is complaining to Allah about the condition of Muslims. He was then a Professor of Philosophy at Government College, Lahore. A year later he wrote Jawab-e-Shikwah (Response to the Complaint). Shikwa (شکوہ) is from Bang-i-Dara [1924], Iqbal's first philosophical poetry book in Urdu.
I dedicate this work to Iqbal, the great poet-philosopher of Islam.

Ghalib was great poet but there is no comparison between Ghalib n Iqbal. Iqabal is a poet , a philospher and great thinker while Ghalib is just a poet.
Dont make stories from your ownself. Qadyanis and Ahmadis were sects created by some people out of greed. They were supported and funded by none-Muslim states as Great Britain and America. Qadyanis and Ahmadis are not Muslims. But we should not be against them as they are still humanbeings. Allah is to judge them on day of judgment we have not right to abuse them in anyway. We muslims should respect everyone.
Actually in Urdu Poetry Iqbal is of his own kind.you can not compare it with others. in Farsi we have others also with this kinda poetrty, like Saa'di, Rumi etc.But in Urdu he is Alone.its Distinction of Iqbal.I listened from some gud poets of recent times who even dnt consider Iqbal as poet.the criteria of Urdu poetry(Ghazal)is abt woman,beauty, and other aspect of life which ve nothin 2 do wid real life
"i have no interest in art of poetry,but for delivering my ideas i ve used the way of Poem".so after this we have no need to compare him with Ghalib..i like Ghalib so much for his poetry..but just consider one big fact
Ghalib give us idea of leaving world and going to forest..for lover destroy urself. its very gud as poetry but not a thing for practical purposes.
so dont try to compare these two person.
Ghalib is great because of his poetic work..no one was able to do like him.
on the othr hand Iqbal was not a poet but much more than poets.
