Hi, Just trying to see what my Dixon Trad sounds like.
Its a nice little whistle.
Not sure how well it will hold up in a loud session but then, I'm not sure a high whistle needs to be loud to be heard.
I keep forgetting the "Oranmore".
Sorry to those that live there!
I just learned this reel from the Matt Malloy Bucks vid here on YouTube.
I think I'm missing a few notes.
I hope you all don't mind.
I gotta get me an Eb flute and due it proper.

Hi, I have a Dixon Alloy "High D" and that has the same characteristics as your trad, very easy to overblow and fairly quiet. Maybe its a Dixon thing? But a great whistle all the same. I am very impressed with your playing. Well done! Peace!

I just got a whistle and book and tons celtic of music to listen to. Its just a matter of time on the instrument. It comes. It will for you too. Its a slow process though... for me it is anyway. Just enjoy the learning and playing.

Doesn't have to be exactly how someone else plays it - that's how it becomes your interpretation - I've never heard it played the same way twice. I notice, also, that you play out the corner of your mouth like I do.
