John Bonzo Bonham revolutionized percussion !! His simplification of DOPE beats ( making them sound decadent yet bluesie and simple all at once ) was way before his time , and that's not even starting to dust the surface of Jimmy Page and Robert Plant's being the people who are about 25 % responsible for how far we have come TODAY in music !! If you say Led Zepplin sucked then I must say - you sir are a full blown unadulterated MORON !!!

that sucked, all that auditioning for such a lame grammy moment. that was just a gig for those musicians in the end... I would say all three spots including Ms. Calhoun's were not so great. You could see it in her face. another lame pop music moment with underused talent and bullshit competitive talk to make nothing seem like something.

and having done a few of those, I'd bet money at least the 'string orchestra' was canned music (you can tell by the crappy re-recorded house sound quality). and that sucks to win a competition to do a canned music gig.

I like it, but I have to say that FF has done better songs. I just remember the first time I heard All My Life... fuck... I had to stop my car and just sit and listen to that song over and over again. That was and is a song that makes mo go crazy every time I listen to it. But The Pretender is a nice song, but thats it.

i personally like the orchestral part of this song, not many people today know how hard it really is to play violin or trumpet.. a 12 year old kid can go look up tabs and play this song on guitar ... but i bet you that wont be able to play those high notes the lead trumpet player plays or play the violin part
