At first, I thought there was something wrong with the audio, but I realized she was singing extremely close to the mic. And then I realized she's doing it on purpose, the effect on her voice adding to the power of the song. She's a genius.

The uploader must have recorded it too loud or something and it distorted.

I can assure you it's not an audio problem. She is much too close to the mic, producing that rasp in her voice. Furthermore, the shape and type of the mic she is using is not designed to pick up noise from one specific direction. Her voice needs not to be focused and be kept a distance for the mic to pick it up properly. The effect is not something the sound editor could fix like magic and therefore stuck. She keeps a relative distance in the other vids, indicating this is done on purpose.

I really don't care. Just enjoy the song. And whoever has a problem with the audio, upload a video yourself or actually buy the copy.
