You don't understand, in Canada we have Bell and Rogers, two companies supply all the internet. There are smaller companies but Bell and Rogers control the wires, and control the source, so the smaller companies are that mercy of those two large companies. My internet upload limit is still clipped, even after the backlash in canada or net neutrality. That control over the delivery of cheap bandwidth is a big part of the argument. This was a good video btw.

I think there wouldn't only be protests: If it does happen and if it does happen long enough people will go nuts and I believe it is not unrealistic to speak about a "civil war"-like event. And I tell you one thing: whatever people will do to get the internet back, I will participate and I doubt I'm the only one.

This was bound to happen sooner or later. Big business types don't want 'their' connections slowed down by the world's youth playing online games, downloading vids, music, talking to each other! They shut down radio and controlled it, they did it with TV, now it's the Internet. Enjoy it while you can - Are you more powerful than them? These people NEVER have enough money. Power is everything to them and they'll stamp on you like you don't exist. It's sadly always been this way....

Wasn't cable TV supposed to be free, or only have very limited commercials, because people pay for it? I don't subscribe anymore, but most watching the BS propaganda box are paying for commercials 1/3 of the program. You pay more for other channels of course.
