Hello wischione, I did not say that it wasn't written by Eden Ahbez, who by the way gave it to Nate King Cole to sing in 1948 where it remained the #1 hit for 8 weeks, I said Nate King Coles rendition is better. Plain and simple. Thank you for allowing me to claify this.

Hello Wischione, The orginial release of this song was in 1948 performed by Nate King Cole. That release stayed in the #1 place for 8 weeks.
Eden Ahbez wrote the lyrics and adapted it to a modified Dvorak melody. Ahbez offered it to several performers including Bing Crosby who was doing a film at the time and turned it down. He then offered it to Nate King Cole and he accepted.
Nate King Coles rendition is a better.
