VITO LIUZZI plays live the "Divertimento
Concertante" for doublebass and piano (better Orchestra) written by NINO ROTA (who has been the most important italian soundtrack's composer) for the great italian soloist FRANCO PETRACCHI. It's a live-TV performance for Telenorba Broadcasting Italian TV (the most important South Italy local TV. But for questions of Copyright, they has no gived the permission to use their professional shootings. I have had to download a normal videocamera shootings, and not the professional ones.
In this recital I played: Koussevitzky Concerto, Bottesini " Capriccio di bravura",
Bottesini "Elegia in Re", Nino Rota "Divertimento Concertante" and Bottesini "Tarantella" (bis).
It's not easy to play with three professional cameras framing you and with those three unpleasant lights which appear and disappear. It has been a big emotion !!!

p.p.p.s: I would very happy if someone will appreciate this incredible work by Nino ROTA and decide to play it with a pino or orchestra (with orchestra the effect IMHO is incredible). Thiis is my primarly intent :-)! Ciao! (Italy)

I was very very happy when I saw your comment of the guy who playes Bottesini and Schubert Arpeggione, his name is something Alper.
I really 100% agreed with your comment!
Just some basic advices: if you want to play Forte, then you have to go closer to the bridge. You play without dinamics:(
And if I were you I would think about other fingerings, which are supporting more your "musical ideas".
Other wise it's not bad.

You are speaking about things which are not in your hand.
I'm not a "virtuoso" on the doublebass, as you can hear.Wiht a very normal instrument it's difficult to play a large range of dynamics. You must hope that people listen to your not so good instrument :-)!
Expecially when you play in a TV Studio Television in which the reverber is zero :-(!
I'll study to play better ... If I will able to do it.

one day you will play much better than me,surely! In TV Studios I remember there was no reverber. I said:"My God!".But it was an experience.I also say:"You can have a normal bass but if you have a good technique it might become an Amati".

You re so kind with me. This is a juvenile concert. Now I think my bow it's a little bit better because I try to use Italian technique (not the French one, used by Rollez, Rabbath and the others) comined with the Gernman one. I hope to be on the right way. Thanks again and my best regards from South Italy.

Era il mio primo concerto pubblico in TV dal vivo e l' emezione era tanta. L'acustia era assurda e forse, anzi sicuramente, ho lasciato stare da parte un pò le dinamiche che avevo studiato. Pensavo di essere sovrastato dal pf.. oi mi sono accorto che non era così. Vedi che a destra indico un sito dove ho caricato i miei tre brani ma con l' acustica di Telenorba, leggermente migliore. Grazie di tutto e per la sincerità
