These people are very talented and I'd like you to enjoy this video. The video itself is about the future, a man and his little alien buddy are fishing for "rockfish" which tunnel through the dirt underground. A very dangerous fictional sport, this fascinating video will have you watching it again and again.
These people have worked on countless things such as the Transformers game trailer, the alien movies, the south park movie, The robotic and awesome Intro to Fox NFL and more!

Its probably SoftImage XSI, since that is what they used for many of their other projects. They have also used 3d Studio Max, Adobe after effects and Photoshop. Which if you got them all would run you about 10 grand (for the proffesional versions)

Actually blender is becoming a recognized program being used in alot of comercials and student films I use the registered version of maya in school and blender at home and honestly there are only subtle differences in the software blender does have a way to go before being used in big industry but it is on its way. and by the way blender is entirely capable of something like this.

yeah blender is awsome! recently ive been using maya but wihtout having had experience with blender learning maya would be much harder. so if anyone is looking to get intobigger name brands like maya and so on then you should download blender, its free!!!!!!and its a grat way to gain experience in cg animation. and im not saying you have to use blender as just a starting point, its perfectly capable of creating brilliant cg animation!
