Surely if one likes this, one should recommend Ray Charles since it sounds nothing like the Cash original. Let's face it the two only have lyrics in common the arrangement and melody is completely different.

Sorry, my comment was a reply to pentacaedro. I was talking about why music back then was great, but music today sucks. It's just the youtube boards are terrible - sometimes they show it as a reply, sometimes you have to wait a day for it to show like that.

Get Ray Charles' the Complete Country and Western Recordings: 1959-1986 four disc set. One of the best CD compilations I own, his version of Ring of Fire plus many other great tracks are included there, in brilliant, remastered sound. Truly, a great investment for any music collector/aficionado.
