If this isn't a tribute to Jeff Lynne and ELO, I'll eat my hat. Listen to the chord changes and the vocal inflections...God, I love this band.
The solo in this song is one of the best in pop music. Cool thing is, the original solo was played on that very same Gibson. Simple and concise. Rick Nielsen is also a brilliant songwriter.
If you haven't seen it, check out the "Sessions at AOL" live version of "Surrender" it's a blast of awesome rock. Zander is singing his everlovin' ass off.

Even though it lacked the rawness of "Cheap Trick" and "Heaven Tonight", "Dream Police" is one of their greatest albums and captures the band in a creative pinnacle. Unfortunately never to be replicated.
