There is no aircraft even on the drawing boards that can replace the A-10 in it's role. Reality is that the A-10 is perfect for it's role. One that the F-35 and F-22's are waaaaaaay too vulnerable to fill. Not to mention that they fly way too fast to directly support ground troops. If you think the hover feature (only available on Marine's version) will work, forget it. The weak manuevering options, and thin armor will always limit it's ground support role.
The A-10 is unbeatable at it's job.

What a joke! They didn't even show any real maneuvering, they just dropped a shitload of flares and pulled a few "evasive" rolls in front of each other.

You people are idiots. The whole thing is tracked by a computer.
The flares are the missiles and the machine guns are tracked electronically. The missiles' paths are tracked electronically, too, hence the evasive maneuvers.
Like they're going to bring a million plus dollars worth of camera equipment into a real life dogfight.
Sometimes I worry about people.
