Yes, speed does kill but then that would mean the US should revert back to the 55 mph national speed limit of the 1970s-80s. Unfortunately, because Americans are very busy and they want the economy to flourish, Ronald Reagan had to raise the speed limit to 65 as well as letting the giving states the right to set speed limits. To add, this means people must ADAPT to higher speeds.

This is why I'm skeptical of others saying how unreliable BMW is in the US. You don't want your car breaking down or running out of gas on the autobahn like this user showed when he cruised at 158 mph for 10 minutes. Speaking of running out of gas, at least the Germans are building more fuel efficient engines to protect environment, contributing more than other companies that just want to produce small cars.

The law is in those words because opinions will vary. AND, you are entitled to your opinion. If you mean mph, it's highly unlikely you'll get that fast EVEN on the autobahn. If you mean Kph that's only ~107mph.

there is, I've done it for 25 years in Germany. It's all relative. You'd have said the same thing 100 years ago if someone had suggested that people would be travelling at 60mp/h in the future.. you'd have been labeled as unreasonable. People who have not learned to drive at speed and obtained their licence in a place like the US after a 10 minute evaluation test on some back streets would indeed be ultra dangerous and unreasonable, as I encountered with GIs based in Germany every single day.
