Thank God he's not Jordi Jordison, or whatever his ridiculous cartoon name is. This is drum music, not merely some steroid-driven percussive jerk off. This is melodic drumming, not a rudiment exercise. Tony is a legend, Jordi is an eventual afterthought. What has Jordi contributed? Double bass rolls at even faster bpm? Who gives a toss....

no one touches tony williams. he is by far the best drummer I have seen. I know, compare apples to oranges, no! He is not boring, superbly entertaining, and he kicks ass. I am proud that I cut his weeds with a borrowed weedeater when I was 14. Too bad I didn't know how awesome he was then. I was into metal at that time.

Tony is beyond comparison,only Buddy comes to my mind,but still..Tony played at the age of 17 with Miles and did already stuff most drummers can only dream of,he is the greatest drummer of all time and if you disagree well then ask Vinnie Colaiuta or Steve Smith and they will tell you the same
