Also, the reason why I stick to the KJV is because it was made by just pure tranlating. There were no agendas to try to pervet it, there were no personal beliefs they tried to shove into the Word. Now-a-days, people come up with new versions of the Bible with an agenda to prove their belief. Also, I would realy like to see the exact phrase you translate into Greek to come up with the "the" antichrist theory.

I hear you. I love the KJV. But it's not the only translation I use. The KJV is not the original english bible translation. There were some before it.
The greek text I have uses the greek word "ho" (Strong's #3588) with antichrist in 1 John 2:18. This is where I see the phrase "the Antichrist" in the greek text (and the literal english translation) for the phrase "the Antichrist".

Yes, that greek word appears in my greek text & the literal english translation. Even in the KJV you see the implication in verse 18 of many antichrist(s) - plural, and "that" antichrist - singular. Many will have the same spirit of this antichrist. But he will exhibit the same characteristics unlike no other before him. Antichrist is the most common term for him but he is known by many other titles even from the OT.

You are correct. "That group" is plural. But the word "group" is the plural part, not the "that" part. Antichrist is singular (no "s") so you would have to use a singular item for your example to compare apples to apples. "Group leader" would be a fair comparison, not "group" as it says antichrist not antichrists with the word "that".

"That" or "the" is definitive to mark a specific item or thing. If you say "a" man you don't make reference to a specific man. But if you say "that" or "the" or "this" man it specifically means an exact man with no other options. That's why any translation noting "the" or "that" Antichrist (not antichrists) is a correct rendering to the greek text which is specific in saying "the" Antichrist.
