Many African Americans try to reach out to Africans but they often have that "major chip" against us as well. I hate to come off arrogant or disrespectful to them but i just believe certain really old traditions,religious beliefs,and tribal feuds make it so difficult over there to progress,it's just frustrating to see from here,but i get pissed at their attitudes toward us.They think we are all like fuckin rap videos.

I think if one reads a lot of the comments on youtube one get depressed about Africa. Many comments are narrow minded, racists, and hateful. However not everyone is like that Mally. Africa will hopefully find it's feet. There is so much wonderful and depressing about it at the same time! Thanks for the good thoughts for Africa!!

Thanks, macafricascot, I agree. Afro-Americans also have a major chip on their shoulder, and few realize that racism is a problem for _humanity_, not some small group. There isn't a social, cultural or racial group that doesn't have problems w/ racism & bigotry.
In spite of the crisis in Zim, I do believe that Africa will prevail. There are so many wonderful things about the people there, it can be an incredible place. I'd love to return to Zim, but not while RM is still in power.

You're right, but if you'd think about it in a way you could relate to...year 2000= Bush elected, 4000+ USA soldiers dead in Iraq, countless wounded. Year 2008 Mugabes still in power, whats the count so far on human life & suffering???
My point? The concept of having crazy people in charge will always hurt, its relative no matter who/where you are in the world...its all relative...if you have a looney toon in charge you will suffer, period!
