This song isn't literally about the U.S. Civil War, it's about war in general. It's meant to say that there is nothing civil about war. War is nothing but an arguement that leads to gruesome killing and violence. Also, the US Civil War isn't the only civil war, the war over in Iraq is one too, and many others. This song is a protest against war, and idiots like you really get on my nerves thinking this song is about the US Civil War.
