hmm. I would consider the kouss and dragonetti way less difficult than bottesini. I've played them both and the technical aspect was not very demanding compared to this.

This is very true. The Bottesini concerti are like the syntheses of the various respective elements that are contained in the Kouss and Dragonetti combined with unique italian bel canto phrasing. Certainly some of the more difficult pieces in the rep...no doubt about that!

Yes, he got the concerto! Played it in Meymandi Concert Hall in Raleigh, NC where the North Carolina Symphony plays.

nice "orchestra sniff" and hair :p Those harmonics like the 4th octave G are hard when you jump like that. Only flaw. Was that one 7min movement?!

Not bad, not bad at all. My only advise is that at this tempo it is easy to drag and rush certain parts, so make sure to keep the pulse going. I like to think, "Could people enjoy this, and get them to sway with the music." Edgar Meyer's recording of this piece is really amazing. You don't have to take it at his tempo, but that is the sorta feel needed to really make this work, especially in the 2nd Movement. But good work, it's pretty much alright. Keep it up!
