I think her voice is too light to sing this aria. Even if there is some high note, this aria is for a voice deeper than Sumi jo's. More, it's called "sempre libera", the second part speak about joice, it miss some powerful, some energy and more rythms in this song...

yes it does matter :] How to say...it's the difference between just "well" and very good. Her voice doesn't suit for this music! And this difference make us "feel" the music or not.I don't manege to go into it because there is something wrong. It's just what i feel. if i had to choose between 2perfects singer, one with light voice and one with deep voice,i'll choose the 2nd one... Even if the voice is free, she can't really plays violetta because to be really free, she should have deeper voice.

Personally, I prefer a lighter voice to sing higher songs/arias. It distracts me if a voice is a bit too colored or has too much vibrato. Sumi Jo has such an amazingly beautiful and clear voice and I think that makes it easier to really listen to the song. The only thing that could be better is the diction, but who really cares about that anyway? :)
