asalamua'laikum.
regarding the recitation of the basmalah in congregational prayer, there are opinions. i'm from Singapore, and imams in south east asia reads the basmalah aloud. there are hadiths saying that the Prophet s.a.w used to read the basmalah aloud. there are some sahih ones also saying that he used to read the basmalah in silence. i guess both ways are acccepted. heh. lets just pray with our hearts intending for Allah's pleasure. May all our deeds be accepted by Allah in ramadhan.
