Al Martino performs his hit "Volare" in this rare music video, filmed in the Italian Alps in 1976.
This renditon of "Volare" climbed to Number 1 on the disco charts in France, Germany and Italy. Recorded in the early days of the disco music genre, this pioneering video was produced by Mike Curb, who is now recording Tim McCraw, Faith Hill, Wynona and many other Nashville country music superstars.
For his performance on this and other music videos, Al was given the "Jackie O " award in Rome, Italy.

the video was okay. as long as there's al martino singing in it then everything is perfectly okay. compare him to artist these days. they don't stand a snowball chance in hell to the great voice of mr. martino. al rules!

Volare doesn't sound English this song is one of the most famous Italian songs aorund the world. The original version is made from Domenico Modugno ( 1951 ) there is a lot of cover the most recent is from Gypsy King. The first american traslation was made from a black woman singer ( I don't rember the name ) but people rember the cover from Frank Sinatra.
There are a lot of Italian song covered !!!
