You're not even close buddy! The top 50% pays 97% of taxes, while the bottom 50% pays 3% of taxes, mainly because the little they earn doesn't amount to nearly as much in taxes. They need to be in a lower bracket to put food on the table, whereas the top 1%'s tax money would go towards what?? A new beach house in the hamptons?
