From what i understand a person is hardcore by their actions. If i were to kill someone using a soldering torch and old PC parts for cutting me off at an intersection that would be hardcore. Me listening to and enjoying a band that doesn't take itself too seriously to begin with while sitting at my computer or driving my car doesn't make me hardcore.
