"Anti-capitalist" is just another way of saying "I can't compete in the real world" LMAO
That's Flavor Flav. Chuck D is still just as anti-capitalist as ever.
"Anti-capitalist" is a way of saying I'm not willing to be another man's (or woman's) sucker and work for a living to make profit for someone else. Anti-capitalists get to own their own music and keep all the revenue made.
And they own NOTHING of their relevant work. LOL.
Besides, your compartmentalizing your definition of "Capitalism".
Capitalists are capital motivated, which is why you have Flavor Flav on "Flavor of Love".
To gain capital ! LMAO!
LOL, I'd like you tell to say that to their face. You need to do some research before spouting off uninformed crap like that.
"Capitalists are capital motivated"
Duh. Tell me something I don't know. The people you are laughing about supposedly owning their music would be "capitalists". Doesn't sound like a very desireable system, where people don't even own their own works of art.
LMAO. Chuck and FF are living the capitalist life. You are living the life of a peasant.
No wonder you hate capitalism! LMAO!
Say it ain't so!
One thing about capitalists, we aren't afraid of 3rd world competition. We have built our skillsets and will compete with anyone, anywhere in the world.
While you want to put up the walls of protectionism, the Capitalist continues to innovate and do things the 3rd would could never dream of!
LOL, what have I whined about?
"while Chuck and FF are counting their money"
I ain't mad at 'em. They deserve every penny. They got rich on their own works of art.
"Chuck and FF are living the capitalist life."
Rich != capitalist
A "capitalist" is a property-owner. Stop distorting the meaning of words.
"You are living the life of a peasant"
Actually my family is middle class and I'm a college student getting into a field with upper-middle income salaries.
Then why does the US have the highest agricultural subsidies in any industrialized nation? Why does the US have relatively high tariffs and spend hundreds of billions of dollars a year propping up failing American corporation on corporate welfare? Why did we just spend nearly a trillion dollars bailing out failed US companies?
We "compete" by exporting industrial feudalism to "3rd world" countries with no regulations.
I'm quite in favor of "free trade" in the sense of workers and consumers owning their own means of production (property) and trading freely between each other. In a capitalist system I support "fair trade" because I believe it's more truly free.
"Capitalist continues to do things the 3rd would could never dream of"
Most "3rd world" countries are more capitalist than the US and most industrialized countries have failing economies right now.
I'm curious, how old are you? I'm thinking mid-teens. I'm just saying, your 'reason' is that of a year old.
ALL trade is "managed trade". The logical conclusion of your ridiculous standards are that as long as trade involves a set of rules, regulations or enforcements it is "managed". It's funny how you "free market" fundies consider labor/trade unions and minimum wage laws "intervention" but don't consider governments enforcing capitalist property laws or making laws banning unions and pro-labor regulations "intervention".
Does that include this age of corporate welfare?
Why was the late 1930's-mid 1970's, when the US had high pro-labor regulation, the era of the highest average living standards in America? Why have living standards gone down since the 80's with more deregulated trade and why is the job market now filled with low wage service jobs?
"how old are you"
22. Obviously you're young enough to not know about the regulated "golden era".
If they had owned all of their work they would be even richer. Thank you for helping to prove my point.
"Which is diametrically opposed to your nonsensical belief in managed trade."
WTF are you talking about? I said that workers and consumers should own their own means of production, labor and the products of their own labor. Someone else owning your work is "free trade" but you owning your own work is "managed trade"? WTF?
LOL yep.
Sorry I had to remind you on what your own point was.
What are you talking about? We just gave them nearly a trillion dollars. Far more money than we spend on social welfare.
"Actually, "your own point" was that the artist got "rich on their own works of art"."
And they did. The money they have earned so far was some of the revenue generated by sales of their records. My point was that if they completely owned their music they would be even richer.
You're a child. Owning your music does not mean you'll be successful. Publishing is only a part of the wealth equation.
Now if you were something more than a average college idiot, you would know this.
