I love her performances! I do! But this moovie!??? Come on! You could teach it in schools, like listen! This is how you should not shoot a moovie. I mean it is predictable, it is boring, the jokes are flat, besides a few. I dont know, if Meryl was not in it, I would never have seen it that is for sure, however I like ABBA.
I wanna see moovies like Sophie's Choice or Adaptaion. STUDIOS!!!! GIVE HER WORK THAT IS WORTH HER TALENT!

Don't be so cynical, my darling. I love Meryl and would not have seen it without Meryl being in it but it was worth the happiness that this movie gave me.

To be fair, Meryl wouldn't have done the movie if she didn't want to. And she clearly LOVED making this movie and the movie itself. It was pure joy for her, seen as she usually does such serious movies. So surely your anger should be directed at Meryl for choosing to do it, rather than the film makers? Cos like you said, you wouldn't have seen it if she wasn't in it.
Plus, she IS doing movies worth her talent. Doubt, Julie & Julia...all creating Oscar buzz already and they're not even released.

Luckily I know all her moovies. So, I do know that she has very serious and good films. Its good that she can do a moovie or be engaged in a moovie just because it is fun. This is a bit too "american" for me, but its just my taste and my opinion. I dont want to argue about it, really. My taste is totally different. I think besides Meryl of course it was a very very boring moovie. If she was not in it and I go to watch it by chance, I think I would have been very angry with myself. Myself! :)

Music is the best way to express your feelings, The best performace I have seen ever, when she sing "winner takes it all" it was just perfect, she express everithing, you can fell all the emotion. OMG great, great actres !!!!!
