This was 10-12 years ago (I'm not sure). A dancer from Reno will be helping me (I hope) by doing this and another piece--inserted into "The Shepherd's Nephew", at our Chapel service on 17DEC. Well, I'm no educated critic of dance, but I did find this beautiful and enjoyed the way it told the story of the crucifixion quite passionately.

I'm very grateful that you're not an "ecod", because all of my choreography is made to appeal to the hearts of normal audience members--not the minds of "experts". You have very graceful arms and the potential to be a great dancer. Are you trained in dance? Your foot movement seemed a little sloppy but it may have been the socks. For this video I would've chosen a different outfit...maybe all black without the halter thing...probably tighter pants so we could see your leg movement more. The outfit detracted from the image and the grace, but I did think this was very good interpretation of the music and the Crucifixion in particular.

Thank you for your your comment, and for your observant criticism. If you read the notes, you will find that this video was made sometime between 1994 and 1996. I was already 27-29, having taken my 1st ballet class at the age of 22 or 23. If you are truly a student of dance, you know that is very late, and that my chances of becoming a "great" dancer were already quite long. YouTube was not even a concept when I made the video, so I had no thought of posting it online...

Again, thank you for your very thoughtful reply to this video upload, and thank you for your kind compliments. There is a partner piece to this called "The Slumber Song of the Madonna", with both being incorporated into a monologue that portrays Mary at both the birth and death of Christ. It's possible that I could have been a great dancer (I'll be 41 next week.), but it was not something I ever felt called to pursue. God Bless You.
