"do you actually believe that people should go to jail for making decisions of their own?"-its anybody's decision to do whatever they want, even though its against the law, people drive drunk, but its their decision. So yes, for some things they should go to jail.
Sometimes both, sometimes one or the other. You are being too general to decide which.
you know what i mean
yes i believe that people who steal and kill for drugs is bad
but simply possessing it really?
"They shot my daughter and her baby," Ms. Jennings said through tears while being consoled by other family members. "The police have to pay for what they did. They went in that home shooting and killed her." [Toledo Blade]

at least it will get rid of some." Then you came back with ""get rid of police corruption"- <-- what does that say?
You are constantly contradicting yourself."
He never claimed legalization would totally eliminate it, YOU put those words in his mouth. YOur Bill O'Reilly spin wont work here....not while Im looking anyway. I'll block you prohibs. at every turn.
why should they go to jail because of it.
if one of my family members did heroin the first thing i would do is get them to stop or send them to rehab to get help. that's what any loving family member could do. and i would have massive respect for those who get over their addiction.
but jail is never the solution to drug problems and just separates the family even more. jail just makes it seem like these poor people are some dangerous criminals when they're not

LEGALIZE CANNABIS !
COPY AND PASTE FOR FREEING WEED
Stop acting like cannabis is a good thing. Its not only a plant, it is a psychological drug that destroys your lungs when you use it. We jail them because they need to make sure they dont use it. How is prohibition unenforceable? Its works to keep a majority away from a certain thing.
So you are just supposed to hope that the rehab works? They need to be punished for what they do.
"jail just makes it seem like these poor people are some dangerous criminals when they're not"- i could say the same thing with an insane person who doesnt know any better after he kills someone.
are you serious? jail solves drug problems?
there are even cops who are in favor of prohibition but disagree that we should put them to jail. the reason because jails is punishment. punishment for what? nothing just for making the wrong decisions. we need to help these people not put them in jail
there is a difference between harming yourself and harming others if had noticed
