You dont have to wear a kilt to be a man, but wearing one doesnt make you anything else otherwise.
Just because wearing a skirt in North America is for girls doesnt mean it is in Scotland.
We eat cows, (except for stupid granola-hippies), yet you would be killed in India if you ate a cow. Their perspective on what we do is the same as us thinking kilts are weird.
