Absoulutely love this song! What a great, great song! Many artists have covered it after all these years because it is a true classic!
Most recently heard it by folk singer, Carol Noonan who has recorded it on her most recent CD. She lives in New England I believe and has quite a few records out. Went to her website and saw that "Walk Away Renee" was on her latest release. Also recorded by Linda Ronstadt & Ann Savoy. Of course quite different then Left Banke but quite nice covers of this song.

This song brings back memories from a long time ago, when I was younger, and I so related to this song, with love. Who is the main singer, he is so good looking, he is in fact absolutely beautiful. Where is he now and what is his life like now? He gave so much to us in the 60's. I wish him abundant love and joy forever.

When we are forced to accept something that does not seem fair or right, the world can seem like a much more complicated and uncertain place and the foundation of what we believe the world to be seems shattered. This song works those feelings into something steady and solid, and even if though things might be bad, you feel alright when somebody can put it all so simply. A truly underrated masterpiece.
