Jess: Myself, because I still like Nick. I try not to like him but I can't stop thinking about him. I hate it!
Taylor: AWW! That is so cute!
Bailey: Isn't there a song like that by Rihanna and Ne-yo? *starts singing "Hate that I love you" joined by Taylor*
Jess: GUYS!
Taylor: Sorry.
Jess: *laughs faintly* So, what do you think I should do?
Bailey: Talk to him tomorrow.
Jess: Great, now I'm going to dread tomorrow.
Taylor: *sarcastically* Way to be optimistic about it.
Jess: *Smiles* Thanks.
[At School the next day]
Bailey: Okay, so you promise you're going to talk to Nick today?
Jess: *annoyed* Yes, yes. I know.
Taylor: Pinky Promise.
Jess: What? Why?
Taylor: Because this way it's really offical.
Jess: *pinky promises* Ughh
Bailey: Oh, and if you don't do it--
Taylor: *smirks* WE WILL. Okay, bye have fun!
Jess: I have the worst friends in the world.
Nick: Hey, who are you talking to?
Jess: Oh, I was talking to, um, uh, myself.
Nick: *smiles* Well you can talk to me, now.
Jess: Yeah, I guess. So how's your project, um, going?
Nick: Okay, I guess. I mean ever since you left me for David---I mean it's going fine. You?
Jess: Uh, same here.
Mrs.Gregg:I hope everyone is working hard on their shakespeare project! Only a week left! Oh, and Jess, can you come up here?
Jess: Sure. *walks up to Mrs.Gregg's desk* Is there something wrong?
Mrs.Gregg: Well it's just that David, your partner, he needs to get his appendix removed.
Jess: Yes, and?
Mrs.Gregg: He will be in the hospital for a while, so I guess you can say you have no partner.
Jess: Oh. Well then do I work alone?
Nick: *eavesdropping* Well, I can be her partner, Mrs.Gregg. I was her original partner anyway.
Mrs.Gregg: Ah, yes. That's perfect, Jess you can have Nick as your partner.
Jess: *fake smiles*
Nick: *smiles* Let's work on it at my house after school, okay?
Jess: *sarcastically* Great.
[After School]
Jess: Hey I'm going to Nick's house for the project, so catch up with you later.
Bailey: Wait, what?
Jess: Long story. Tell you later.
Bailey: Well, Taylor and me are going there, too.
Jess: Really?
Taylor: Yeah, Joe invited us.
Jess: Oh, okay. *smiles* C'mon then.
[At the Jonas house]
Joe:Nick, do you want us to go downstair since you're you know, working on projects?
Nick:Yeah, that would be great.
Jess:N--
Joe:Kay. *go downstairs*
Jess:*sighs* Okay, so did you finish the book?
Nick:I actually did finish the book.
Jess: Aw, great. Now we can just start on our report and stuff. *smiles*
Nick:Okay.
Jess:Well, I think we should do a poster maybe, but make it really shakespeare-y?
Nick:*laughs* I don't think there is such an adjective.
Jess:*laughs*
Nick:*leans in towards Jess and takes off her glasses* Your eyes are beautiful.
Jess:*smiles* So are yours.
Nick:*leans in more and kisses Jess softly*
Jess:*kisses Nick back*
Joe:*comes upstairs* Hey! You kids behave.
Jess:*breaks apart from Nick and turns really red because she's so embarrassed*
Nick:*mad* Joe.
Joe:*smiles* Sorry, how was I supposed to know I was interrupting something?
Jess:Um, you weren't interrupting.
Joe:*smiles* Sure, I wasn't. *Goes back downstairs*
Nick: I'm really sorry about that. Here are your glasses. *hands them back to Jess*
Jess: Thanks, and you're sorry about Joe or the..kiss?
Nick: Both.
Jess: I'm sorry, too.
Nick: Why are you sorry?
Jess: Because, uh, your right. I shoudn't be sorry.
Nick: *smiles* Chill out, Jess. I never said you needed to be sorry.
Jess: *laughs nervously* Right. *looks at clock* Oh, wow it's late. We should go home. Bailey! Taylor!
Bailey: Hey, how did your "project" go?
Jess: *blushes* Good.
Taylor: Were there any *makes smooching noises* going on?
Jess: *glares at Taylor* No, there wasn't. Now let's go.
Kevin: Are you sure you don't want me to give you a ride?
Bailey: *smiles* Kevin, we all live like across the street, we'll be fine. But thanks for caring. *hugs Kevin*
Joe: Bye guys. *kisses Taylor*
Jess: *mouth drops*
Bailey: Okay, bye. C'mon. *drags Jess*
Jess: You and Joe are...together?
Taylor: Yeah! Isn't it great? He asked me today to be his girlfriend. He's a really good kisse--
Jess: Ew, too much information.
Bailey: *laughs* Totally.
