Judy Garland? You know nothing about Big Band music. Garland would never do a song this fun and Kelly's expressions and body movements as she sings this song are more reminiscent of the likes of Betty Hutton (originally recorded this song), her sister Marion (sang with Glenn Miller & His Orch) and the song stylings of Rosemary Clooney and Dinah Shore. Garland wasn't as animated when she sang. Kelly does an excellent job of this song and could easily play a singer in a movie set in the 40s!

I love big band music and she ROCKED this. WOW she is insanely good. She deserved to win. She looks like she is having so much fun up there and that is a big part of it.

I love Kelly Clarkson ... and this was the first time I ever saw her ... this episode of American Idol. However, NO ONE can sing it like Betty Hutton ... although I will easily admit that Kelly's version is a classic and no one TODAY can touch Kelly Clarkson singing this type of music.
