Villazon's voice is different voice fach. Diego is tenor leggiero, light clear sound with agility to reach high notes that villazon will never be able to do.

I think Villazon is a lyric tenor who should listen to Kraus and Wunderlich instead of Domingo, but he´s not a leggiero like Florez.

But so many comments below call him a "good young tenor". The guy is 35. That puts him at his peak and far past the "young tenor" stage. He is a grownup. The fact that he's still thin and has a young face shouldn't be held against him :-) Give him the respect a mature star deserves.

35 is young for a tenor. The voice, if taken care of, will peak over the next 10 years. Pavarotti, Kraus, Gedda, and many others did their best work in their 40s and 50s. Just think if Pavarotti had died at 40, nobody would have ever heard him sing Nessun Dorma.
