you and i made the same mistke that is bought the ds xtreme ever since i got it and use it i keep rechargeing my DS Lite battery cause DS Xtreme eat too much battery power and and nother they never put out new FW i am swiching to R4DS witch that what i should bought in the first place dont get me wrong DS Xtreme is cool flash card and its my frist flash card but it eat up to much battery life

No, it is not licensed by Nintendo. You download the games from LimeWire and Bittorrent. It costs £60+ in the UK. You get it online. Playing commercial roms on it is completely illegal and, if you are caught, you will be punished by the software developers to the full extent of the law. I suggest you buy the games legally rather than screwing the developers.
That said, you can legally run free software like homebrew on it.

ie im using windows media player 9
thus the firmware of it would be 9.x.x.
as windows does automatically update the last digit of bugs etc and the middle digit adds new apps, whilst the first is the total program.

in court if you own the game and extract the rom you may keep it as a back up(or more likely keep your entire game set on a single ds Xtreme and keep the others on back up). this is A-OK
Downloading a rom that a copy of you own is illegal and 'traceable' however you could easily use the defense i already own it(like if you owned a real dvd and bought an illegal dvd instead of extracting it yourself, you have payed the developers for a copy, except the seller of illegal dvd is benefitting.)

r4 breaks easily cuz of the spring. the ds xtreme is a 4gb and has a usb plug in so you dont have to take it out all the time

its not 4gb it only goes up to 2gb 4gb is 4giga bytes which is 512mb
