I love my cats.I have one walking on my damned keyboard as I write this.And I support Peta in its campaign to have people sterilize their pets.And Ive supported their campaign against dog fighting.
But why does every movement try to legislate every aspect of their morality on the general public.Sorry,I like leather.I love hamburgers.I wont spend 2 grand at the vet on a 15 year old cat who might last another year.I wont be a veagan.If I want a carrot,I wanna cook the damned thing.

Ok, so try telling a family pet that it's 'liberated' and should head for the city to make its own way in the world. Try telling the vast number of farm animals that they are 'free' and see what response you get. Will their be cheering and hats thrown into the air? PETA love that they have a high enough profile to hire Dita, despite the inherent contradictions in their own dogma and are calculating enough to know the publicity value of Ms. von Teese. I just love Dita, whatever she's wearing.

peta makes a lot of these videos so that they can capture the lifestyle of the person and show that no matter how different people are, they can have the same views on things

Yeah she may wear fur, but she still cares for animals. Just like not many of us watching this would dilibrately hurt an animal... yet we still eat burgers and chicken nuggets from establishment that get their meat from inhumane slaughterhouses.
Whatever someone chooses for a lifestyle, they need to know that in some way they WILL hurt animals. From wearing furs, to having a vegitarian diet that takes away animals homes for the demolition of natural habitat to cover the demand for soy products.

i used to be a vegetarian, but i have two auto-immune diseases. so basically, the supplements aren't enough for me to be healthy and be able to fight off infection.
BUT, even when i wasn't, i did not wear fur.
i didn't eat products from brands that could not humanely kill the animals.

You are doing what you can, which is all we can do in this dependant society. But like you I make sure I get my protiens from humanely killed animals. On my homestead I raise the animals free range and grow my own food. I applaud your efforts.

et tu dita? people come first above animals...it is good to respect animals...but to do a peta ad.....is crazy...peta is a group of a bunch of nuts that want to film naked women to support there cause .....killing animals and people in the name of protecting animals ...fact pita gave money to people who had fire bombed buildings....fact...peta actually ends up killing most of the animals they claim to "save"...fact...these hollywood celebs don't really know what they are backing up...

If you happen to be Vegetarian or not, I think the thing to take from the whole PETA- Animal Rights thing is do what you can to protect the animals and the Earth. Because all you can do is your best. No one's perfect. Just be informed, smart, and ask questions.
