Yes they are 2 WILLING (got that part) WILLING men who decide to have a fight in the context of a hockey game! PLEASE people lets remember alot of things in sports would be ILLEGAL outside the context of a game! Its a sport! - 99.9% of hockey fights are 30 secs of jersey tugging/spinning and its over, no big deal, there are more impt things to bitch about.

whether they are willing or not isn't the point. the point is they are acting like savages. this isn't the 15th century. nearly every level of hockey and league (college/europe) in the world gets by fine without fighting. the nhl and other smaller leagues in north america with fighting are the exception to the norm. if this is the only way the nhl can sell its product then they are in bigger trouble than they already were in. the people who actually enjoy watching this are in even more trouble.

I almost feel bad for you - this is the NHL ok? Not college and not europe (thank goodness) They come here to play by NHL rules! Savages? you really need help if thats savage! (2 guys grabbing/spinning and falling is savage? wow) Hockey is a unique sport and has been for decades, its actually Canada's game ok. The players who play dont think its savage, the coaches and fans who support the sport dont think its savage!

BTW do u know how much actual fighting is in hockey? Im talking fights, not stickwork, do you? (College hockey has lots of cheapshots/stickwork) Dont listen to the clueless USA media, they dont know, its very lil, a team may have a fight or so a week (thats it) -hockey is a wonderfull combo of speed, grace, and YES heart/grit/tuffness and should always remain that way!

i write all of these comments as a hockey fan. i still boxing is perhaps the hardest sport in the world along with boxing. any sport that has a physical element to the extent of hockey along with the extreme skill and endurence is something special. however, i think fighting coulds the game for what it truly is.

Who is the douchebag who announces now for the Hawks? I've been living out of the country for a few years now and I know they let Pat Foley (God of Hockey announcing) go a couple seasons ago but I didn't know he'd been replaced by such a clown.
