In some states in the US you have to pay ridiculous fines (tens of thousands of dollars) if you go ONE mile over the speed limit, or don't wear your seatbelt.
If you do not harm another person, or mess with another persons rights, you can do WHATEVER you want.
YOU are allowed as a human being to ride your bike without a helmet if you want to, or drive a car without a seatbelt.
That is basic common sense Freedom.
You talk about freedom as if your entitled to it. Your not. Freedom is provided for you just as it can be taken away.

Yes, you may get fined, but it's an illegal fine.
They're enforcing illegal 'laws'. Which means, that they're not laws.
A law must be in accordance with the Constitution of the USA, or any other constitution in whatever country (as long as that constitution is based on freedom and common sense), and if a law is not in accordance with the Constitution, such a law is null and void, and you have no reason to obey it, nor can anyone legally enforce it.
For example, the President could issue an executive order saying that all parents must kill their children if they are under 12 years old and have blue eyes, or something like that.
But that's retarded; it violates common sense and all basic rights.
So it wouldn't apply. It'd be a non-law.
Of course, they could enforce it anyway.
That's called tyranny.
When you drive your car, and the police stops you and they try to take your blood -- that's tyranny.
Any 'law' that violates either the Constitution, or your fundamental common sense human rights - or both - that is tyranny.
When people with guns (or without) enforce illegal laws, or threaten you with prison or fines, that's tyranny -- Period.
Seatbelt laws ARE tyrannical.
I don't see anywhere in the constitution where it states that Federal Laws are not 'legal' laws.
But thats a whol other story.
However downloading peoples work should not be tolorated.
Just as you'r not allowed do copy a painting and then go on and sell it at a lower price(well you cant accually sell the same IDENTICAL painting as you do when downloading , but i hope you get the idea)
