You are absolutly right. In my interpretation Con Brio... is faster -> with more vivacity. But you defined it better then me.
My point is that he said "Allegro" and how fast that should have been, and I was pointing out that it was an "Allegro Con Brio" which should be played with more vivacity, which in my interpretation is (certainly for this piece)... faster (at some intervals).

I don't realy know why exactly. I do know tecniques have an important role in both. So fast Scale runs and Arpeggio's (so loads of theory too), and even more theory. Harmony, too. Some Metal also has Orchestra's and Choirs in it. (Rhapsody, Nightwish etc). The metalbands that don't often have a "strings ensemble" for keyboard.
Though this isn't realy true for normal, more for Symphonic Metal, Power Metal, Melodic Metal, Death Metal and such. Not Metallicaish.

say you have 50 people playing the same music but each got different parts to play. each would have to be listening to everyone of the other 49 to know when to come in and then you have to account for all the other factors as well. its like in army what does the general do its not as if he does any of the fighting. like the conductor he give orders to the rest. he cant speak so must use the hand movements as a kind of sign language. watch maestro a bbc show to see what a bad conductor does
