We all know Netrebko and Garanca have received virtually as much bad propaganda from her detractors as hype from her fans.
However, good singing is good singing, and this is a wonderful example in my opinion. Two maturing and improving artists with great talents and voices that blend extremely well.

Fine Concertante performance from Vienna which recorded too. In the end I like Garanca's voice more than DiDonato's in the Bastille Opera performance on May, 24th 2008in Paris. Sure, DiDonato's performance there was excellent, but her voice did not 'fit' so well as Garanca's in this opera. There is more emotion in their duets.

you are right! Good singing is good singing. And HEY!!! Netrebko produced a real fine trill at 3:30mins. Well, one less thing for her detractors to complain!

Yes, her trill was very good. But wait until you hear her sustained trill in one of her arias. I was amazed when I heard it. It's so funny that sometimes Netrebko isn't capable even of singing a fake trill, but in other venues she sings wonderful ones. I'll post her exquisite singing in that aria in the next days.

The finest performance possible.Mathematically perfect. Netrebko is working hard on coloratura...great. She will become the best of the best of the best. And Garanca's wonderful.They will do great things.

Woah!!!!!!! What has happened to Anna? She is WONDERFUL again :) Yayay!!!! Absolutely stunning! Her phrasing is sensuous and subtle, sumptuous and divine! Her coloratura and sostenuto are remarkable! A huge transformation!!!! No breathiness or sloppiness at all. Garanca, divine as always!!! Is there a full recording of this opera with them? Oh, wow, that's really made my day finding this on here :)
