You mean what method "am I using", because I am FAR from having trained anything. :) It's a good question and when I know, I'll let you know. This is the first true running DW I have ever attempted so I am just flying by the seat of my pants here.

7 1/2 months old. Probably too young to be doing this, but I am trying to keep it as safe as possible by not raising the plank anymore and not turning him sharply at the end. I don't think I will start my next dog on dog walk training until he is 10 or 11 months so I can progress faster. Lesson learned, but for now, we just have run running.

Tell me about it. When I set out to do a running dog walk, I wasn't worried about it because I can always beat Voucher and he does it in 1.8 to 2 sec. Well, Klepto is doing it between 1.18 and 1.27 and he's only 7 months. When he gets old enough, I am going to have to make a decision if I can even handle this.

I thought Aubie would do a running dogwalk, too until I learned that if I was behind by even the slightest bit, he would come off. So it was back to a 2o2o then quick release.

My guess is that it will get faster for 2 reasons. 1 being that he will get much faster since he is only 7 months old and 2 that having the decline ramp higher will accelerate him more at the end. The question is if I actually want it that fast.

That would be depressing if I ended up with a 2o2o, but I may have to do something to slow the behavior down if it becomes too fast to handle. I will be working hard on getting myself to run faster and then make a decision at the end of the Summer.
