You could start by working runs slowly accenting the up beats. Then as you start getting faster try accenting every other up beat. For the fast runs what I like to do and what I've heard Joshua do (as well as other sax masters) is to accent the first note of a set of 4 eighth notes. For example: If you ran a C scale (eighth notes) using this technique you would accent C G and D. So it would look something like this: C-d-e-f-G-a-b-c-D-c-b-a-G-f-e-d-C. The capital letters being the accented ones.

Helps alot, Thanks for your reply and taking the time to explain it, Ive been trying 8th notes c-D-e-F.. but when it gets fast i cant do it that way, only C-d-e-f... like u discussed. I put the m-nome on 2 n 4. and go through the scales n licks, but i need to improve my time...But thanks for your advice it helps alot, now i know im going in the right direction !!

try feeling the metronome just on 2, and work on improvising over something easy like rhythm changes without any play along tracks. If you can do that, and keep the form then your time (and ear) will be another step in the right direction! Its all about internalizing the beat!
i'm no master of time in any way...but it that may help you out.
