They're not illiterate because they chose to change the word up a little...it's not like they didn't know the word "ask"...they chose to be inventive and artistic with the language in front of them...Shakespeare made up words, would you consider him illiterate bwf sabian? and why do you think languages like french and spanish are so similar? it started with one language and branched out into a few. If it was so popular to be literally correct, shouldnt there still just be that one language?
