Pluto can never be a moon because it doesn't orbit anything else. It's been termed a dwarf planet, because it's very small, however it's bigger than an asteroid. Basically it is a large lump of rock with enough gravity to have a moon of it's own.

there's lots of objects past pluto which have been observed, and a few of these are larger than pluto, and many are of similar size. in fact there have been reported to be "Hundreds" of bodies between 1/4 and 3/4 the size of pluto out there. which is why Pluto was changed to "Dwarf Planet" because having 300 planets in the solar system is a bit silly.

well technically speaking Pluto and its moon Charon orbit each other. Which could make Pluto and Charon satellites of each other. Pluto, a little bigger than Charon (not by much at all) got the originally got the planet designation because it was discovered first. But since its just a dwarf planet now such details are far less important.

Fabulous. I had no idea the big stars were so enormous. I knew that red giants like Betelgeuse were about the diameter of Earths orbit but the really big ones. Wow. Thanks for posting
