I agree with our voting system being jacked (we really have no choice in next election; Obama and McCain are identical), and about the people being removed from decision making, but I'm not sure how that disproves a global world takeover conspiracy.
I don't think the President is in charge...I think it's the Rockefellers and other Bilderbergers. They are the ones who chose McCain and Obama as our "choices", IMHO. David Rockefeller admits working towards a one world government in his memoirs.

Google "martial law executive orders" (without quotes), and you can see that it is actually legal for a president to declare an unspecified "emergency", and actually declare Martial Law (where the normal justice system is suspended, and the military is in charge) and seize just about everything (including American people).

It disporves it, because it isn't necessary. "If it ain't broke don't fix it". The powerful and rich already have a lot of influence...why bother organizing a conspiracy? There's no plausible reason to back it up.
