I was inlove and Im gay. My Boy friend of 7 years died on his 25th bday. every time i hear this song it makes me look back and the things I lost. I never went a day without saying how in love I was or how happy I was. Dont matter if your gay or str8. Love is love and loss is painfull. The song is saying good bye to something familiar and that is loved. I think of Mike every time i hear it. Its saying also, tell whoever how you feel. you may not have the chance tomorrow. it sucks believe me.

this song hurts whenever there has been an attachment with a person. Goodbye's hurt no matter what, even when the other person is very bad it is hard to let go.
But love... no, that's the greatest feeling and at the same time so hurtful. When you lose, when you fight, when you are separated to long, when death ends something beautiiful, a song like this tears your heart even more. For me it's better than just throwing your love away with losers. Tears are worth it when there's real love.

Everytime I hear James sing this Song it actually "tears" at my very soul, let alone what it does to my heart.
