Amazing...sometimes I find her singing very affected and over stylized, but this is perfection. Such a beautiful, musical interpretation with a fabulous instrument from a world class artist.

I completely disagree. This song is about as forward moving and legato as it can be.the phrasing is absolutely stunning. It makes my heart swell everytime. And the dynamic pattern she uses is stunning. Each phrase just swells and recedes which I feel really conveys the emotion of this particular song. And the G sharp is phenomenal. Gosh. It is so wonderful. People should be celebrating her accomplishments and the beautiful instrument she offers us. Not making things up for the sake of bitchery.

I agree with canlid...
I am using this song for my Grade 10 Royal COnservatory of Music (of Canada) exam, and came here to look for an example to listen to... I like her interpretation of it best... if you listen to a lot of others, their tempo is much faster than Cecilia Bartoli's and it just seems to rushed for me. I love this. Brava.

in my humble opinion i think that Ms Bartoli captured the essence of the song, from her phrasing, legato, dynamics and presentation. As impeccable as her technique is she still manages to emote tremendously and that is truly rare.. BRAVA. Singing at its finest

when a composer writes a piece of music, they dont mean for the artist to be distant from the emotion, they mean for them to literally bathe in it, and this is what she is doing, bringing out the true intended meaning of the song and this is truely admirable, this is the highest level of singing.period.

réponse: les épaules ne doivent pas monter et descendre, le sternum doit rester haut sans arquer le bas du dos. Mais la cage thoracique DOIT gonfler et dégonfler. Je crois que CB porte une gaine ici, ce qui l'empêche d'inspirer plus bas. Moi non plus, je n'aime pas entendre la respiration. Elle ne devrait pas être prise comme modèle, sauf pour son expressivité et sa colorature précise.
